Department Philosophy:
Members of the Social Studies Department see their role in the education of the St. Louis University High School students Social Studies Department Philosophy as facilitators in the students' development of knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field of Social Studies. The department is committed to the highest standard of excellence in all aspects of the curriculum.
The Social Studies Department has selected these learning goals as top priorities for the department. This list of goals is intended to be directive, not comprehensive. They are stated in general student competencies to be mastered by the end of the instruction at SLUH.
