Math Club

General Information:
The math club participates in math competitions throughout the school year. The competitions involve two individual and two team events. Students earning a high enough score can qualify for the state math competition.
Students who are interested in participating in a math competition should contact Mr. See in the math office.
2007-2008 school year
This year we have done very well so far.
At the Excellence in Mathematics competition hosted by St. Louis Community College at Forest Park sophomore Quin Thames won first prize in the sophomore division.
At the GPML state qualifier competition at Parkway South freshman Mark Rapisardo won third place in the freshman target contest. Senior Stephen Schumacher won second place in the senior target contest and fifth in the senior sprint contest. Senior Mike Baumer won third place in the senior sprint contest and fifth place in the senior target contest. Mark, Stephen, and Mike all qualified for the state competition.
At the GPML state qualifier competition at McCluer North sophomore Quin Thames won third place in the sophomore target competition and the team of Rob Bertucci, Mike Cannady, Ben Ford, Nate Fox, Quin Thames, and Jeff Viox won fourth place in the team competition. Rob Bertucci, Mike Cannady, Nate Fox, Quin Thames, and Jeff Viox all qualified for the state competition.
