Weber Finishes Season With Game Winning Base Hit
On Tuesday, May 19 at Chaminade, SLUH was the home team and began very well. Birthday boy Michael Lindblad pitched well only giving two runs. Elliott Fish came in after Lindblad got into a jam. The Jr. Bills were losing 2-1 headed into the bottom of the 7th. Mark Jaskowiak came up with a runner on first. He hit a long double past the outfielders allowing the runner to score from first. Then Brett Weber came up to the plate with the winning run at second base. Brett Weber saw his pitch and stroked it down the first base line. The right fielder got the ball and tried to throw Mark Jaskowiak out at the plate. The throw was late and the Jr. Bills won the game 3-2. The JV squad ended the year with 8 wins and 8 losses after Brett Weber's game winner. The JV squad's season is over - Great Season Jr. Bills!
