SLUH AP Scholars Announced
The College Board has announced that 140 SLUH students have been recognized as AP Scholars this year, three more SLUH students than were recognized last year. Seven of the 140 received the most elite honor of AP National Scholar.
Recognition is based on the scores these students achieved on the Advanced Placement Exams they took during their tenure at SLUH.
"We are very proud of these young men and all of our students who maximize their academic potential," said Mark Michalski, Assistant Principal for Academics. "The combination of fine teachers and a challenging curriculum at SLUH continues to direct our students toward academic excellence."
The following is a summary of those students who have been recognized as AP Scholars:
AP Scholars - Students who have achieved scores of 3 or higher on 3 or more AP exams. SLUH students recognized as AP Scholars: 60
Average overall number of AP Scholars 2003-2006: 131,960
AP Scholars with Honor - Students with an average AP score of 3.25 or higher on all exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on 4 or more exams. SLUH students recognized as AP Scholars with Honor: 29
AP Scholars with Distinction - Students with an average AP score of 3.5 or higher on all exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on 5 or more exams. SLUH students recognized as AP Scholars with Distinction: 44
AP National Scholars - U.S. students who have averaged 4.0 or better on all exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on 8 or more exams. SLUH students recognized as AP National Scholars: 7
