Jr. Bills Can't Come Up With Victory Against DeSmet
The DeSmet Spartans squeezed past the Jr. Bills by a score of 8-5 in a tough MCC battle. Espen Conley led off the game with an inside the park home run on the first pitch, but the Junior Bills were unable to get any big hits to help Elliot Fish who pithed a solid 5 innings. The Bills were able to cut a DeSmet lead from 3-1 to 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning but the Spartans broke the game open in the fifth by scoring 5 runs. The Jr. Bill offense was able to score another three runs in the seventh inning but could not generate any more offense. Their next game is against Chaminade.
